Batfest flies into downtown Batavia with autumn whimsy and Halloween magic

Enjoy a frighteningly friendly and fun Halloween tradition when BatFest returns to downtown Batavia.

Set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, BatFest kicks off with a Halloween Parade starting at Houston Street and Island Avenue near the Peg Bond Center, 151 N. Island Ave., Batavia.

“BatFest really captures the spirit of Batavia — community, creativity and connection,” said Beth Walker, Executive Director of Batavia Main Street. “It’s a chance for neighbors to come together, downtown businesses to shine and families to make lasting memories. There’s something for everyone — kids, families, and even the family dog!”

Other 2025 BatFest activities include:

Downtown Trick-or-Treating from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

• BatFest Booths and Performances at Peg Bond Center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

• Super Mario World & Face Painting at New Moon Vegan, 119 S. Batavia Ave. from 10 a.m.-noon.

• Pottery Wheel Throwing Demos at Thrown Threads, 125 S. Batavia Ave. from 10 a.m.-noon.

• Glow-in-the-Dark Dance Party at Zen Loft Collective, 103 E. Wilson St., 10 a.m.-noon.

• Reptile Show at Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 S. Batavia Ave. from 10-11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

• BatFest Stories at Batavia Public Library Reading Garden, 10 S. Batavia Ave., at 10:45 a.m.

• Final Batavia Farmers Market of the season from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

• Pumpkin Roll hosted by Boy Scout Troop 6.

• Costume Contests for people and pets at the Peg Bond Center.

• Fall Photo Backdrop at Fat Sam’s for Pets, 102 1st St.

• Kids Craft Activities at Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water St.
