Subaru adoption events pair animals in need with loving homes
Meet an adorable new friend at two adoption events this month at your local Gerald Subaru dealership!
Gerald Subaru of North Aurora is partnering with Anderson Humane to host the Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 11, at Gerald Subaru of North Aurora, 205 Hansen Blvd., North Aurora.
The event features the chance to interact with a variety of adoptable rescue dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. A similar event is planned for 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Gerald Subaru of Naperville, 2379 Aurora Ave., to celebrate Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. That event will feature adoptable dogs and puppies from the West Suburban Humane Society.
“This event is a great way to see adoptable pups in person, no appointment required,” said Zoe McGrath, Director of Development for the West Suburban Humane Society. “Attendees will also get a take-home goodie bag.”
Activities at both events include meet and greets with the adoptable pets and a variety of activities.
Both dealerships will donate $100 per adoption to the partnering agency, which helps to offset the costs of preparing the pets for adoption.
“This event helps us showcase dogs in need and represent the many animals in our community who are homeless and looking for their fur-ever homes,” McGrath said. “This makes an impact not only for the dog that is adopted, but it also helps us care for more rescue animals in the future.”
Anderson Humane appreciates the opportunities Gerald provides to allow potential adopters to meet multiple pets at once, increasing the chances of pets finding homes.
