Kane County Health Department to host 2025 Communicable Disease Conference

The Kane County Health Department announces the 2025 Communicable Disease Conference, bringing together public health professionals, health care providers, infection preventionists, school health staff, and community health partners for a day of learning, collaboration, and updates on the prevention, treatment, and management of communicable diseases.

The conference will feature expert-led sessions and panel discussions on timely and emerging topics in communicable disease control, including:

• Kane County communicable disease updates

• Enteric disease review

• Chicago measles outbreak

• Panel discussion with Illinois Department of Public Health experts

“This event is an excellent opportunity to showcase the expertise at the health department and our partner organizations,” said Michael Isaacson, executive director. “Nursing continuing education units will be available, making this event an excellent professional development opportunity for nurses and other front-line health care workers.”

The 2025 Communicable Disease Conference is designed to strengthen partnerships across the health care and public health sectors while providing attendees with the most up-to-date information to protect the health of Kane County residents.
