Kane County announces $300,000 in opioid response grants

The Kane County Health Department has awarded $300,000 in state opioid response money to local organizations working to prevent opioid overdoses, expand access to treatment and support recovery services.

Recipients include the Association for Individual Development’s Opioid Prevention Project and street outreach; Ecker Center, including its recovery cafes; Gateway Foundation; Greater Family Health; the Kane County Sheriff’s Office for its “A Way Out” program; Lighthouse Recovery; and Serenity House.
