Glen Ellyn Historical Society searching for new leader
The Glen Ellyn Historical Society is seeking a new executive director.
Jeffrey Anderson announced in a Historical Society newsletter that he’s stepping down from the role but still plans on continuing to be a member and volunteer for “years to come.”
His successor will be charged with being the public face of the nonprofit, volunteer-based organization and the Stacy's Tavern Museum, a restored 1840s-era inn near the modern-day Five Corners intersection of St. Charles and Geneva roads and Main Street.
The director also develops educational programming and oversees the handling, care and preservation needs of the society’s collections, according to a job description posted on the society’s website at GEHS.org.
Those interested in the position are encouraged to send a résumé to the Historical Society by email to president@gehs.org or by mail to Glen Ellyn Historical Society President, 800 N. Main Street, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.
