Schaumburg Township to hold open house for new electric buses Wednesday

Schaumburg Township will hold an open house featuring its new electric buses from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the township hall, 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.

Participants will get to tour the buses, see the new charging stations and learn more about the township’s sustainability efforts. Light snacks will be provided.

These buses transport older adults and adults with disabilities around the township to medical and other appointments, keeping them independent and active.
