Kane County to hold shredding and recycling event Saturday

Kane County will hold its Fall Shred & More recycling event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 27, at 540 S. Randall Road in St. Charles.

The event offers Kane County residents secure on-site document shredding as well as an opportunity to donate or recycle items, including clothing, shoes, textiles, books, bikes, home goods and leftover paint.

Residents can bring up to four “banker boxes” of confidential papers for shredding. Small businesses are not eligible. All services are free except for latex paint recycling.
