Our Saviour’s Lutheran to offer community prayer service Sept. 24
Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Naperville will host a come-as-you-are prayer service at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the church’s sanctuary at 815 S. Washington St.
All are welcome to attend the informal service and bring whatever heaviness is on their hearts amid times of deep hurting in the local community and far beyond. Special prayer and music, both traditional and contemporary, will be offered; the service will be led by Our Saviour’s associate pastor Elisabeth Pynn Himmelman.
Afterward, those who are interested in sharing a meal together are welcome to stay for Our Saviour’s regular midweek meal at 6 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. There is no cost to attend.
Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, with two campuses in central Naperville, is a member of the Chicago-based Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is an inclusive, affirming Reconciling in Christ church. For more information, visit oursaviours.com.
