Palatine Township accepting property assessment appeals

Palatine Township residents can file an appeal of their 2025 property tax assessment at the township assessor’s office through noon Oct. 22 or online with the Cook County Assessor.

The township has forms outside its front door and at the front desk. Residents also can appeal by emailing appeals@palatinetownship-il.gov, including their name, address, phone number, property PIN and email address.

Residents who want to file directly with Cook County should go to cookcountyassessor.com/online-appeals.

“The Township assessor’s office is here to help you make sure you are only paying your fair share of the property tax,” Assessor Bill Pohlman said. “We can help you apply for all the exemptions you are qualified for and appeal your property tax if your home is not assessed properly.”
