GPS Parent Series in Spanish to offer tools for emotional wellness and stress reduction

On Thursday, Sept. 18, B-PAC: Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Council and the GPS Parent Series in Spanish will present “Practical Tools for Well-being in Challenging Times” with clinical psychologist Erika Quezada at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

This program will be presented in Spanish only. For further information, contact Luz Luna at luz_luna@glenbard.org or (630) 942-7447.

Feelings of anxiety or depression are a normal response to today’s challenging times. Quezada will come to the GPS Parent Series for an interactive webinar filled with practical tools and emotional-support for navigating stress, uncertainty and the complex demands of parenting now.

Grounded in culturally relevant approaches, the session will foster resilience, promote connection and offer immediate strategies caregivers can implement at home.

Learn the importance of self-care and how to incorporate simple mind-body wellness exercises into daily life. Participants will feel more validated, less alone in their parenting journey and leave with tools to enhance their family’s emotional wellness.

Quezada is a licensed clinical psychologist, certified professional coach, and the CEO and founder of Lotus Life and Wellness. With more than 15 years of experience, she specializes in helping people improve their mental health, manage stress, work through personal and professional change, and enhance overall well-being.

An expert in her field, Quezada has been recognized by “40 Under 40” and Telemundo for her contributions in the areas of well-being and mental health.

All are welcome to the free weekly GPS events, and no registration is required. To be placed on a reminder list for GPS events, contact Glenbard District 87 Student and Community Projects Coordinator Gilda Ross at gilda_ross@glenbard.org or (630) 942-7668.
