Celebrate Fall at Gorton Center’s Oktoberfest on Oct. 18 in Lake Forest

Gorton Center will host its annual Oktoberfest fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 18. Enjoy an evening of food, drink and entertainment, all in support of Gorton’s cultural and educational programs.

Enjoy authentic German fare from Belvedere Events & Banquets, festive beverages, lively German polka music from Die Musikmeisters and Gorton’s annual lively community celebration. New this year is Hammerschlagen, a spirited German game that promises plenty of friendly competition.

“What makes Oktoberfest truly special is that it’s a volunteer-driven, annual tradition; each year offering a new twist to keep things fresh and engaging,” said Ann Kiesling, Manager of Donor Engagement, Gorton Center. “This year, guests can look forward to the addition of Hammerschlagen, a fun and spirited game that adds to the festive atmosphere. While they come for the food, music, and camaraderie, they leave knowing their support helps sustain the programs and experiences that make Gorton such an essential part of our community.”

Tickets are $150 per person (and include food, drink and entertainment) and increase to $175 starting Oct. 1. Proceeds benefit the Gorton Center.
