Coroner identifies woman found in forest preserve

DuPage County Coroner Judith Lukas said Monday that remains found last month in the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve have been positively identified as those of a Naperville woman.

The deceased is Olasinmibo Adunni Abosede, a 46-year-old woman who was reported missing on July 30. The cause and manner of death are pending further studies.

The coroner’s office issued a statement expressing condolences to her family.

“It is distressing when a loved one goes missing,” the statement read, “and the prolonged period of waiting for identification must be further heartrending. We are hopeful that the family can now begin healing.”

Lukas also thanked Naperville and DuPage forest preserve police for their assistance.
