St. Vincent de Paul to sponsor Fun Run/Walk for the Poor
On Saturday, Sept. 13, Our Lady of the Wayside and St. James’ St. Vincent de Paul Societies and St. Edna’s Community Outreach are partnering in the annual Fun Run/Walk for the Poor.
The 5K/1-mile fun run/walk raises funds to help those in need who live in our community. These ministries offer transportation, food, and housing security as well as referral services to those needing to bridge tough times.
The family friendly festivities begin with a Kids Dash at 7:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Wayside, 434 W. Park St. in Arlington Heights. The 5K run or 1-mile walk starts at 8 a.m. Individuals and families are welcome.
Awards will be presented to fastest female, male and largest family. We offer great swag to the first 120 registered.
