Shepherd of the Prairie to present ‘Matthew 101’ adult education class

The Gospel according to Matthew, as seen through the lens of "the priesthood of all believers", is the topic for the upcoming adult education class to be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10:a.m. to 2 p.m., at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 1805 Main St. in Huntley.

"Studying Matthew is important," said Pastor Bill Waxenberg, who will conduct the class, "because the Gospel of Matthew will be our primary Gospel reading for the next 12 months, beginning on the First Sunday in Advent, Nov. 30.

Seen through the lens of one of the most important teachings of the church, ‘the priesthood of all believers’, gives us a unique perspective. And while Matthew shares many similarities with both Mark and Luke, so much of Matthew is unique."

Registration is required at www.bit.ly/SOTPmatt25.
