Hoffman Estates begins special storm debris pickup Monday

Storm debris pickup is underway in Hoffman Estates following severe weather on Aug. 16.

Residents are encouraged to use the Groot curbside landscape waste removal service, which no longer requires stickers, to dispose of tree debris from the recent severe thunderstorm.

For brush and branches that are too large to be bagged or bundled for Groot to pick up, Public Works will conduct a special branch pickup starting on Monday, Aug. 25. Please place larger branches at the curb no later than 7 a.m. that day. Public works crews will make one pass on each street to collect storm-related tree debris.

The village’s annual fall brush pickup will begin the week of Sept. 22, offering an additional opportunity for residents to dispose of brush and branches during their regular pickup week.
