Two men in custody after Burr Ridge armed robbery Thursday
An armed robbery in Burr Ridge Thursday led to the arrest of two men now in custody.
According to Burr Ridge police, a driver on I-55 stopped to help two men standing outside their SUV who claimed they needed gas money. The victim drove one of the offenders to an ATM while the other followed in a different vehicle. While withdrawing cash, one of the men said he had a gun and demanded money, which the victim provided.
The two men, one 42 years old and the other 17, were later picked up in Woodridge and taken to the Burr Ridge Police Department. The two men have not yet been charged, and the investigation is ongoing in coordination with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
