Maine Township Agency Program Funding Applications Open
Maine Township has officially launched the application process for this year’s Agency Program Funding Grants administered by the township to local agencies serving the broader township.
This has been a recurring program at the township since 1987. Maine Township allocates these funds for local nonprofit agencies to help address critical needs of Township residents.
“Our local nonprofit agencies do a fabulous job serving the community and filling the gaps that exist in community services,” Trustee Elizabeth Lynch said.
“Organizations like The Harbour, Northwest Compass and the Children’s Advocacy Center are doing an outstanding job serving vulnerable populations in our community,” Trustee Lynch said.
Applications for 2026-27 program funding opened on Aug. 1 by request and will continue to the application deadline at noon on Aug. 29. No applications will be accepted after the application deadline.
A full listing of all grant recipients can be found at the Agency Funding website at mainetown.com. All recipients must follow the application process and allocations are determined by several elements including the prior year’s amount, the current year’s request and by totaling the averages of the board member’s and key Township employees’ individual determinations.
To be eligible, agencies must meet all basic eligibility requirements as listed on the township website, formally apply and present at an agency funding hearing.
