St. Charles church hosts Evensong Prayer Service and potluck

St. Charles Episcopal Church will host an Evensong Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the church, 994 N. Fifth Ave. in St. Charles.

The music sung will be the Holden Evening Prayer by Marty Haugen. This simple setting of Evening Prayer will offer a refreshing respite from life’s daily chores and challenges.

The contemporary music uses piano, guitar, flute and other instruments.

The parish will offer a free potluck dinner immediately following the 30-minute service.
