More Brewing hosts 2nd annual Summer Send Off Market Aug. 17

As summer winds down and fall peeks around the corner, Villa Park is getting one last dose of sunshine, shopping, and sips. On Sunday, Aug. 17, More Brewing Co. will host the second annual Summer Send Off Market, an outdoor celebration featuring over 30 artists, makers, and small businesses — all curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance.

From noon to 5 p.m., the brewery’s parking lot will transform into a lively market where guests can browse handmade creations, from soaps and jewelry to pickled goods and Perler bead art — all while enjoying a cold craft beer or refreshing beverage. The event is free to attend, family-friendly, and brimming with variety, with makers traveling from across the region, including several based right in Villa Park.

A Taste of What’s in Store

The vendor lineup is as diverse as summer itself: soaps, beard oil, glasswork, local honey, laser-etched art, 3D printing, horror decor, wet specimens, woodwork, crochet, taxidermy, candles, apparel, coffee, cookies, pickled goods, and original artwork in every style imaginable.

Local Villa Park makers include:

• Art of Alex Kujawa — Fine art inspired by Slavic mythology, folklore, and Art Nouveau.

• Bead Streetz — Pop culture-inspired Perler bead creations from artist John Streetz.

• Illinois Bee Rescue — Local honey and pollinator education from rescued bees.

• Demise Decor, Scary Terri’s Crafts, Self Made Body and Soul, and Ten Cups Tarot — A mix of spooky, stylish, and spiritual offerings.

A Dash of Summerween

While the market celebrates summer’s end, it also tips its hat to the spooky season ahead. Visitors can expect “Summerween” flair from vendors like Bea-Hooked’s cryptid crochet, Primtentions’ mystical candles, Sealed Fate Curiosities’ taxidermy art, and tarot readings from Ten Cups Tarot.

Food, drinks, and brewery specials

More Brewing’s kitchen will be open with shareable bites like cheese curds, wings, watermelon bruschetta, and hearty handhelds, plus desserts. A special “Mac 2 School” Burger — double Angus beef, American cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions, and MoRE Sauce on a toasted Turano sesame bun — will be available all month. Guests can grab drinks from the taproom or the outdoor beer stand, with a curated beer selection perfect for browsing the market.

Parking & Accessibility

While the brewery’s lot will be filled with artists, plenty of public parking is available nearby — including lots north and south of the brewery, as well as residential street parking (watch the posted signs).

Giving back

Many participating artists donate to charities, including St. Jude, Restoration Ministries, Heart Haven H2O, Project Fire Buddies, the Delta Gamma Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association, and The Brigid Alliance.
