Gurnee launches improved emergency alert system
Gurnee has launched a new and improved version of the Regroup system that delivers real-time emergency alerts, severe weather alerts, road closures, public safety notifications and service announcements by phone call, text, email or an app.
Those interested can sign up at www.gurnee.il.us/alerts. There’s no cost to enroll, but standard text-messaging or data rates from your carrier may apply.
Those previously signed up for the village’s previous alert system must register to continue receiving alerts.
