‘Pledge’ confusion

Regarding the ICE raids across the country, writer Tom Sullivan suggests it might be time to remove the phrase “liberty and justice for all” from the Pledge of Allegiance. I don't necessarily agree with him, but it's quite clear that Donald Trump has little regard for that part of the pledge. (If he's ever read it at all.) Given that our government is snatching people off the streets and putting them in internment camps, perhaps it's time we ask ourselves what the phrase actually means under Trump's rule.
