Robert McClory bike path construction to begin
Construction to improve safety and accessibility of 12.3 miles of the Robert McClory Bike Path will begin next week.
Work involves paving gravel sections with asphalt, resurfacing existing asphalt, concrete and drainage repairs, and ADA accessibility upgrades from Russell Road at the Wisconsin line south to Broadway Avenue in North Chicago and Old Elm Road to Vine Avenue in Highwood and Highland Park.
Construction will begin between Glen Flora Avenue and Blanchard Road and from 33rd Street to Salem Boulevard. Temporary path closures and detour routes will be in place throughout construction.
