Gurnee men arrested after burglary caught on security video: police
Two Gurnee men are facing charges following a burglary in Des Plaines that was captured on home security video, police said Friday.
Angelo Konstantinov, 25, and Ali Ivanov, 46, both of the 7100 block of Brae Court, are charged with residential burglary.
The break-in was reported about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 400 block of Good Avenue. Men wearing masks, baseball hats and sweatshirts reportedly broke into the home, police said.
Security video showed the men forcing open a rear door and ransacking rooms, police said.
Officers responded and spotted Konstantinov and Ivanov running from the area. Police saw them drive away in a gray Mercedes-Benz.
An officer followed the car and saw the occupants throw items out a window.
After stopping the car, the officer arrested Konstantinov and Ivanov, went back to where he’d seen items being tossed and found jewelry and jewelry boxes that had been stolen from the Good Avenue house, police said.
The pair were due in court Thursday for a detention hearing. No additional information was available.
