Faeries of the Forest Festival returns to South Elgin Aug. 2
Step into the faerie realm with the second annual Faeries of the Forest on Saturday, Aug. 2.
Come dance, eat, and be merry with our faerie friends as they celebrate the joy of life, happiness, and magic from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Vasa Park, 35W217 Route 31 in South Elgin. Enjoy the music, the vendors, and the faeries of course!
Enjoy free activities held throughout the day, including a Faerie Quest (play games with the faeries and create a spell jar); Tea Parties & Parade (Tea Time and a Fluttering Parade with the Faerie Queen); crafts (build your own wands, create fairy houses, and more); and workshops for adults (dancing, Tarot, Reiki, painting, Flow Art dancing).
Or perhaps you would like to view some entertainment, including live music, professional bubble blowers, mermaid, flow dancing, and live painting.
Or perhaps you would like to shop the Woodland market, including 54 local vendors and five food vendors.
The main stage entertainment will be: Rachel Bachman from 11 a.m. to noon, Harp Twins & Volfgang Twins from noon to 1 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m., Secrets of the Beehive from 1 to 2 p.m., Ananda Lila Kirtan from 2 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 5 p.m., Brighid the Bard from 5 to 6 p.m., and Xylia-Sophia from 6 to 7 p.m.
There will be sensory-friendly time from 10 to 11 a.m.
