Lombard Historical Society’s Music on Maple Street hosts Stone & Snow

On Friday, July 25, Lombard Historical Society’s Music on Maple Concert series presents the alt-folk trio Stone & Snow, known for their rich harmonies and evocative lyrics.

The free outdoor concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the William J. Mueller Gazebo at 23 W. Maple St. in Lombard. Bring a chair, blanket, and even your own snacks. Tickets are suggested at LombardHistory.org.

Named “Best Folk/Soul Artist” at the 2022 Richmond International Film + Music Festival, Stone & Snow is a Cincinnati-based Americana pairing of songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, Karen Bridges and Clint Thomson, in collaboration with Eva Reyes-Smith on upright bass and backing vocals. In 2012, Bridges and Thomson began a collaboration filled with close harmonies and thoughtful lyrics. They gave it a name that gives a nod to the mountain landscapes of the West– Stone & Snow. They have recorded and produced five studio albums to date.

Bridges and Thomson are passionate about elevating women in music. Through hosting performances for women-led artists, their work collecting data on the gender balance in their local scene, and Bridges’ involvement in the “Girls Rock!” franchise, Stone & Snow is invested in seeing more women grow and thrive in the music industry.

Bring a chair, pack a picnic, stop by Dairy Queen for a sweet treat, and enjoy a Ravinia-style evening of live music with Lombard Historical Society.
