Illinois Brass Band performs free Summer Pops Concert

Come join the Illinois Brass Band for an afternoon of brass band favorites as they present a free outdoor summer pops concert.

The performance will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 27, on the west lawn of the First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid Ave. in Arlington Heights.

The performance will feature the 30-member British style brass band playing light summer favorites including: classical, marches, patriotic, Broadway, music from the movies, pop, rock, and soloists from within the band.

Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy music under the trees in the park like setting. The concert will move indoors in the event of inclement weather. Ample parking is available.

The Illinois Brass Band, in its 34th year of performing, is sponsored in part by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
