Carol Stream sponsors July 4 decorating contest

Carol Stream and its July 4th Parade Committee are sponsoring a decorating contest in which residents and businesses are being asked to decorate the exteriors of homes and businesses with a patriotic theme in honor of July 4.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three homes and top three businesses.

To enter the contest, email the address of your home or business by 5 p.m. Monday, June 29, to decoratingcontest@carolstream.org.

Judging will be conducted June 30 and July 1. The addresses of nominated homes and businesses will be listed on a map and posted on the village website at www.carolstream.org.

The Carol Stream 4th of July Parade Committee is a group of volunteers who organize the annual parade, which has been canceled this year because of COVID-19. For details, visit www.carolstreamparade.com
