“This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to see the incredible work being done at Walsh Academy while enjoying a fun and relaxing afternoon,” said Dr. Ann Craig, principal of Walsh Academy. “We’re proud to showcase our school and the students we serve, and we’re grateful for the ongoing support that makes our mission possible.”

Walsh Academy serves youth ages 14 to 22 who face academic, emotional, behavioral or intellectual challenges. It is the only school in Illinois and perhaps the nation offering vocational education tailored to students with special learning needs.

The academy has been honored with the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) School of Excellence Award an impressive 12 times, a testament to its dedicated staff and transformative programs.
