Huntley police hold ‘Tip a Cop’ for Special Olympics July 5

Members of the Huntley Police Department will be raising money and awareness for Special Olympics Illinois during a “Tip a Cop” event Saturday, July 5, at Culver’s of Huntley, 12950 Route 47.

From 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day, department staff and Special Olympics athletes will be on site collecting donations to support the organization.

2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run merchandise (shirts, hats, and pins) and other Torch Run items also will be available for sale.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the single largest year-round fundraising vehicle benefiting Special Olympics Illinois. Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition in 18 sports for more than 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities.
