Court letting DOGE run rampant

The MAGA majority on the U.S. Supreme Court has reach a new low in its subservience to their Dear Leader. The court has let the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have unfettered access to sensitive records of millions of Americans held by the Social Security Administration. In a second case, the court’s MAGA majority set aside a lower-court order that allowed a watchdog group to obtain records about DOGE’s status within the government.

To reiterate, DOGE has access to the personal information of millions of Americans, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, home addresses, income and assets, citizenship status, medical information and disability status. Left unanswered are why DOGE needs this information (they don’t); how they’ll keep this information safe and secure (they won’t); and what they intend to do with this information (anything they want). At the same time, per the Supreme Court ruling, citizens (for now) have no visibility into the activities of DOGE.

For those of you who voted to make America great again, is this the America you want?
