Arlington Heights Arts Guild to host Art Show and Reception at the Arlington Heights Senior Center

The Arlington Heights Arts Guild invites the community to experience the creativity and talent of local artists at its upcoming Art Show and Reception, on display at the Arlington Heights Senior Center from May 29 through June 25.

The community is welcome to attend the Artist Reception from 4:30-6 p.m. on Friday, May 30, in the Senior Center’s main lobby. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, and view a variety of artwork created by members of the Arlington Heights Arts Guild.

The exhibit will be held at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights, a vibrant and welcoming space owned and operated by the village of Arlington Heights. The Senior Center is dedicated to fostering independence, lifelong learning, and community engagement for adults ages 55 and older. Eight partner agencies work collaboratively to provide resources, programs and services to support aging well.

Artwork from guild members will be displayed in the center’s lobby, offering visitors a chance to enjoy paintings and other media that reflect the artists’ passion and diverse styles. The Arlington Heights Arts Guild, founded in 1971, proudly celebrates over 54 years of promoting the arts with nearly 80 active members. The guild brings together artists from Arlington Heights and surrounding communities to share knowledge, inspire one another and contribute to the cultural fabric of the area.

In addition to regular meetings featuring artist demonstrations from September through May, the guild supports emerging artists by sponsoring local exhibits and awarding scholarships to area art students.

Everyone is welcome to attend, whether they’re an art lover, aspiring artist or simply someone looking for a creative and uplifting experience.
