Trump accomplishments deserve attention
President Trump has just finished his first 100 days in office, an unofficial marker used by many to review the direction the President is going. So far, it has been an exhilarating combination of accomplishments and bold actions.
Unfortunately, I have been naïve. I really thought that the mainstream press would show a modicum of fairness. Instead, the national reporting has been overwhelmingly level. As an example, on April 28, the Herald published an AP article about the president’s first 100 days. A balanced article would have listed positive and negative points or accomplishments and failures. Instead, the AP picked out 8 pieces, all written by different journalists and all were negative.
And so it goes. In the following, I will do what the AP, Washington Post and other media will not do. I will list some of the President’s positive accomplishments and actions.
He effectively shut down the border to illegal immigrants after 20 days in office.
He has deported violent gang members, including murderers, rapists, drug dealers, sex and child traffickers.
He inspired a historic surge in military recruitment.
He created DOGE. So far, they have saved $160 billion of taxpayer money.
He is coordinating with the Health Department in making our country healthy again. (MAHA)
He signed an executive order banning biological men from participating in women’s sports or being allowed in a women’s locker room.
He is pursuing a peace deal in the Russian-Ukraine war.
He banned DEI, a policy that had become extremely racist.
He is fighting antisemitism and anti-Christian bias.
These are just a few of the actions of President Trump.
I invite other opinion writers to send in their comments and lists of what the president has accomplished for American citizens.
