Hoffman Estates Fire Dept. offers CPR class

The Hoffman Estates Fire Department is offering a Heartsaver CPR/AED course from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, May 19, at Fire Station #24, 5775 Beacon Pointe Drive.

The course is intended for those with little to no medical training who want to learn CPR and automated external defibrillator use. Participants will learn when to call 9-1-1, how to administer CPR, how to use an AED and how to provide relief from choking.

The cost of the course is $50 per person. Registration is required and class sizes are limited. Call the Hoffman Estates Fire Department Administration Office at (847) 843-4825 by May 12 to register.
