Trump’s agenda isn’t making America great

Alexis de Touqueville wrote: “America is great because America is good; if America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”

Day after day, the current administration announces a near unimaginable series of actions and policies to “make America great again” that are astonishingly mean-spirited, vindictive, reckless, punitive. And the silence of those, mainly Republican Senators and Representatives, who know better, is deafening.

This administration is abusing law, challenging law, ignoring law -openly — and with a sense of entitlement, arrogance, and inhumanity.

It is unspeakably shameful. And I truly believe Americans know it.
