Mundelein water bills going up

Mundelein residents soon will pay more for water and sewer service.

The village board on Monday unanimously voted to increase the rate for that service 4.5%. The change follows a 5% increase from the organization that provides Lake Michigan water to Mundelein, the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency, officials said.

The average bimonthly bill will increase from $166 to $173, documents indicate.
