Des Plaines business scammed out of $190,000 in equipment, police say
A Des Plaines forklift dealer was scammed out of $190,000 worth of equipment last month, police said Monday.
Noblelift North America, 2475 S. Wolf Rad, reportedly sold and delivered electric pallet jacks to New Jersey three times.
But when company representatives called the supposed buyer about payment, they learned whoever made the purchases did so while posing as an employee of a legitimate company, police said in a news release.
