Julie Goolish named Principal of Algonquin Middle School
Julie Goolish was named Principal of Algonquin Middle School at the March 17 Board of Education meeting.
“I am grateful and honored to serve as Algonquin Middle School’s next principal,” Goolish said. “I am committed to working collaboratively with staff and families to ensure the academic and social emotional growth and development of all students.”
Goolish has served as the assistant principal of Eisenhower Junior High in Schaumburg District 54 since 2023. Prior to that she held assistant principal positions in various schools in Schaumburg District 54. She also spent time in District 54 as a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports coach, behavior specialist and a junior high special services teacher.
“We are thrilled to welcome Julie Goolish to the Algonquin Middle School community,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Amadei said. “Her experience, dedication to student success and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment made her an ideal instructional leader for Algonquin. I am confident that Ms. Goolish will build upon the school’s strong foundation and guide it toward continued excellence.”
Julie Goolish earned her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Illinois State University and Master of Science in school counseling from Northern Illinois University, and a Master’s of Education in educational leadership.
“I am looking forward to fostering relationships with the Algonquin Middle School learning community,” Goolish said. “As principal of Algonquin Middle School, I will work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and the community to cultivate a culture of learning, care and support that each student truly deserves.”
