Glenbard West Theatre presents comedy ‘You Can’t Take It With You’ April 17-19
Glenbard West Theatre will present its spring comedy, “You Can’t Take It With You” on April 17-19. The production is based on the play written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart.
The Sycamores are not your typical family — they collect snakes, make fireworks, and dance around the house in their pursuit of self-fulfillment. Alice, the “normal” granddaughter, falls in love with her boss’s son, the heir of a business empire. The two get engaged and Alice’s now-fiancé and his parents accidentally show up to meet the eccentric Sycamore family a day early, setting off a series of hilarious events.
“You Can’t Take It With You” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, April 17- 19, in the Larry Shue Auditorium at Glenbard West High School, 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn. Tickets are $10. Purchase tickets online via www.glenbardwesths.org/news/.
