No need to justify sales tax increase

After reading a few letters supporting the sales tax increase in Kane County, I have to comment that it’s a ridiculous notion. Every government agency that receives taxes gets automatic raises every time prices go up, income goes up, homes increase in value. Every one of the taxes that we pay has increased in recent years due to all those things. It’s extraordinarily disingenuous to suggest that they need a raise or they need more revenue. They already have it.
