Compassion for people, passion for the job

I am writing because I support Tom Schwingbeck for Arlington Heights village president. I have known Tom for many years and have been serving with him on the village board for the last six years. I have found Tom to be a thoughtful, conscientious and collaborative trustee. He is always well-prepared for board meetings and does not hesitate to ask the hard questions.

Tom is also out and about in the community, attending special events, ribbon cuttings at new businesses and other formal and informal events.

In addition, Tom reaches out to residents, Village staff and fellow board members to gather information. He is not afraid to listen to and consider others’ points of view. This is what a leader does and I know he will bring these same attributes to the position of Village President.

Tom’s passion for the community and compassion for its residents make him my choice for village president. This is why I am endorsing Tom and why I encourage others to join me in voting for him on April 1.
