For a library that serves everyone
Libraries are often the hub of a thriving community, and the Barrington Area Public Library is a shining example of a library dedicated to serving all residents in the area. A strong board of trustees is vital to maintaining a vigorous library and for that reason, I support Carrie Carr, Rachel Forsyth-Tuerck and Richard McCarthy for Barrington Area Library trustees.
They have all served as library trustees and combined they have more than 40 years of library trustee and advocacy experience. In stark contrast, one opposing candidate has rarely attended library trustee meetings and the other opposing candidate has accused librarians of being “sexual groomers” for offering “Rainbow Storytime” at the library.
Families in the Barrington area come in all shapes and sizes. We all pay taxes to support the library. To deny any family the representation they deserve is distressing.
Carrie Carr, Rachel Forsyth-Tuerck and Richard McCarthy have the operational experience to support our library and the commitment to serve all members of our community. Please join me on or before April 1 in voting for candidates who understand libraries are for everyone.
