Naperville family trio to perform Music with a Mission concert

On Sunday, March 23, Music with a Mission will present Christopher, Valerie, and Hannah Lorimer to begin this year’s series of performances. The concert will be at 2 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 25 E. Benton Ave. in Naperville.

The three will showcase their impressive talents that collectively, span more than 100 years. With Christopher and Hannah on vocals and Valerie on the piano, audience members will be treated to a variety of original music, as well as classical, jazz, and musical theater pieces.

Christopher is Music with a Mission’s founder, as well as the director of music at the church and for more than 40 years, a professional singer. Valerie, a published composer, has been the accompanist for the Chicago Symphony Chorus, the rehearsal pianist for Chamber Opera Chicago, and has collaborated with singers all over the world. Hannah received a degree in Music Performance from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts and has performed extensively on the East Coast.

When asked about the concert, Christopher said, “While we have performed a great deal in many different venues and for many different occasions, it’s always nice to share an afternoon in a space that can take on a soiree-type setting that’s very personal and intimate.”
