Explore career opportunities at TEC Spotlight April 30
Discover hands-on learning and career pathways at the TEC Spotlight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at the Technical Education Center on College of DuPage’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
The event is free and open to the public. Register by 4 p.m. on April 30 for a chance to win a COD Swag Bag.
Attendees will be able to tour specialized labs, meet with COD faculty, and explore career paths and salaries in a variety of fields, including architecture, aviation, automotive, electronics, construction management, horticulture, HVACR, interior design, manufacturing and welding.
With a growing need for skilled workers in Illinois’ manufacturing sector, COD’s programs provide hands-on training to prepare students for in-demand careers.
The Technical Education Center is a 178,000-square-foot LEED-certified facility featuring 31 classrooms and 16 state-of-the-art laboratories. Students gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies, including wind and solar energy, through rooftop wind turbines and solar panels.
COD’s Business and Applied Technology Division ensures students develop the skills needed for immediate success in a rapidly evolving job market. Faculty program coordinators collaborate with industry professionals to keep curricula current and career-focused.
