Congress must get control of government

I have just finished reading the letters in the Feb. 14 paper in the Your Views section. I agree 100% with both Robert Jacobsen’s and William Traxler’s letters about Trump. I think that we need to understand that Trump truly believes he is the world’s smartest person.

It is an almost daily occurrence that he announces plans that will impact millions in the world. He and Putnin negotiating peace in Ukraine without Zelenskyy’s direct, personal involvement is beyond arrogant.

How dare he think he should be the lead and not someone who lives Ukraine? How dare he recommend displacing millions of Palestinians and Gazans from their homeland? He then says that he can just take their land and turn it into a “resort”?

How can our members of Congress sit silently, in general, and not call this dangerous man out on his incredible plans? I encourage all non-Trump cult members to send correspondence to our congressional representatives and ask what they are doing to counter Trump’s lunacy. I just emailed Sen. Dick Durbin and asked what his plan is to counter Trump’s unchecked attempt to mold our democracy into his kingdom.
