A gateway arch could be headed to Park Street in Mundelein
Mundelein officials on Monday, March 10, could pursue creating a proposed gateway feature for Park Street in the downtown area.
The village board will consider authorizing Village Administrator Eric Guenther to finalize the design and prepare documents for a formal bidding process.
The village recently secured a grant to help pay for downtown improvements, including a gateway feature at the entrance to the stretch of Park Street that’s seasonably closed to cars so that people may enjoy al fresco dining, documents indicate.
A large arch that would span Park Street facing Route 45 is being considered.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at village hall, 300 Plaza Circle.
