Prayers for peacemakers

Here’s wishing Godspeed and sending up prayers for the peacemakers seeking to end the Russia/Ukraine war. Since 2014 American taxpayers have spent $69.2 billion on that war.

As a result, a total of approximately 300,000 Russians and 57,500 Ukrainian soldiers now lie dead somewhere.

Russian President Putin can now lay claim to some Ukrainian land. By comparison, the combined populations of Des Plaines, Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect and Naperville add up to 336,000 men, women and children.

Imagine if some dreaded disease struck and killed all of those people — you and me. There’s no other word for it but horrifying.
