Antioch businesses sustain ‘heavy’ damage after tractor-trailers catch fire
Two Antioch businesses sustained heavy damage when flames from two tractor-trailers that caught fire spread to the buildings early Monday.
Firefighters were called to the 200 block of Depot Street just before 1 a.m. for a report of a possible Dumpster or vehicle fire.
Firefighters discovered two tractor-trailers ablaze when they arrived, and also learned the fire extended to a nearby building.

Nearly a dozen neighboring fire agencies assisted in the battle that took nearly eight hours to extinguish. An excavator was called in to assist in the overhaul operations due to the extensive damage, fire officials said.
