Algonquin projects win engineering awards
Two Algonquin projects have received the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois Special Achievement Award.
The Old Town Algonquin Project’s Riverwalk and Streetscape Project and Washington and Harrison Street project received a public engagement and communications category award. It improved walkways and access to the Fox River.
The Souwanas Trail improvements received a transportation category award. A rural road was upgraded to an urban design, underground utilities were expanded and impervious surfaces on the trail were reduced.
