A depressing future awaits

We had a choice of two candidates running for president. Choice of party does not matter at this point. What does matter is one candidate does not support or believe in the Constitution.

He will stand and take the oath to America. That candidate will not make America great again. He talks about punishing his enemies or individuals who don’t agree with him. He talks punishment and control. We are entering a fascist government, as well as autocracy, where the wealthy like Russian oligarchs will have control over men, women and children.

One candidate stood for democracy and a republican form of government. She provided hope not fear and greed. She lost. And, the winner had the audacity to tell Americans, “Oops, sorry I can’t lower the cost of food.”

Can anyone explain how fascist countries celebrate independence and freedom? They don’t.

There will most likely be huge parades where we show off our military equipment, forget the candy and clowns. The large parades will emphasize military force. Not fun, but many will cheer.

There will no independent thinking. Heck, we don’t even have honest history or a proud education system. We will count on states with various economic budgets to educate the already undereducated population. Forget decent jobs at fair wages.

The emphasis will be on lowering wages and values in America. Large cooperation will continue to buy up housing and gouge citizens for higher rents. Buying a house will be for the wealthy. A condo is the price of what a starter home cost a few years ago.

Most Republicans do not want to take on the huge issues of global warning. The wealthy will hop on a spaceship and head off to their home on Mars. Welcome to the future.
