“Planes, Trains and Automobiles: Lake County Transportation” topic of history symposium

The 10th annual Lake County History Symposium will be held virtually on Zoom from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and 16.

“Planes, Trains and Automobiles: Lake County Transportation” is the theme. Viewers will experience engaging presentations from seasoned professionals, authors and passionate hobbyists.

The history of Naval Station Great Lakes, sinking of the Lady Elgin and the monumental preparations for the 1926 Eucharistic Congress in Mundelein are among the hidden and unexpected stories

There will be four presentations the first session and three the second. Register for both days to experience all seven. Discussion will follow the presentations. There is no charge for tickets but registration is required at lcfpd.org.
